Senior Pre-Sales Engineer – Industrial Networking (OT/IIoT) 

Location: Eningen, Germany (hybrid, 2–3 days on-site)

What you will do

1. Customer & Sales Support

  • Support the sales team in technical meetings, workshops, and presentations 
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, helping them design solutions using our products 
  • Clarify technical requirements and translate them into feasible solution approaches 

2. Solution Support & Architecture Guidance

  • Assist customers and partners in designing industrial network architectures 
  • Provide guidance on topologies, redundancy mechanisms, and performance considerations 
  • Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with real-world operational constraints 

3.Validation & PoCs

  • Build and execute proof-of-concepts and lab tests 
  • Validate scenarios such as redundancy failover, QoS behavior, and resilience 
  • Reproduce and analyze customer-specific use cases 

4.Partner Enablement

  • Deliver technical training to partners and distributors 
  • Prepare technical documentation, guidelines, and reference architectures 

5.Post-Sales & Escalation Support

  • Support technical escalations during and after deployment 
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in cooperation with internal teams 

6.Collaboration with R&D

  • Work closely with engineering teams to transfer field feedback into product improvements 
  • Prepare technical requirements, bug reports, and feature requests 
  • Support validation of fixes and new functionalities 

7.Industry Representation

  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Demonstrate products, engage with customers, and support lead generation activities 

8.Competitive Positioning

  • Support positioning of company solutions in competitive customer environments 
  • Contribute to understanding how our products compare to alternative solutions in real deployments

What you bring

1.Must-have

  • Strong experience in industrial or enterprise networking
  • Hands-on knowledge of: L2/L3 networking, VLAN, QoS, Redundancy protocols: RSTP, MRP, PRP/HSR
  • Experience supporting customers in designing network solutions 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network and system layers 
  • Fluent English (mandatory) 

2.Should have

  • Experience with: Linux systems, Edge computing / industrial PCs, PLC environments 
  • Understanding of industrial cybersecurity (e.g. IEC 62443) 

3.Nice to have

  • Knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g. Modbus, PROFINET, OPC UA) 
  • Experience in energy, rail, or industrial automation domains 
  • Familiarity with time synchronization (PTP / IEEE 1588) 
  • Exposure to industrial networking vendors such as Moxa, Cisco, Belden (Hirschmann), or Siemens (Ruggedcom)

  • Location: Eningen, Germany (hybrid, 2–3 days on-site) 
  • Region: Europe & Middle East 
  • Travel: approximately 15–20% (primarily Europe, occasional international travel)
